Our Dark Horse Merlot is an elegant, full-bodied red wine grown in California. Layers of dark cherries meld with hints of rich blackberry jam, giving the palate a buoyant weight and structure. Well-integrated notes of toasted oak, mocha and caramelized brown sugar carry through to the long, rich finish.
Details
Our winemaker used warm fermentation at temperatures between 88⁰ and 92⁰F to create intense flavors, rich color and perfectly balanced tannins. After fermentation, the wine was aged to add layers of complexity.
