A blend of grapes from five different parcels – Orangerie, Hillside, Kasteelsig, Paarderberg & Waterval – all small farms dotted across the Swartland and made whole by their togetherness. A combination of juice, 7 blissful days on the skins and some cherishing yielded an orange that, much like the album art its bottle bears, is greater than the sum of its parts.
Paying homage to South Africa’s rich history of jazz music, the wine is labelled in collaboration with ‘Indaba Is’, an improvised recording of 52 of South Africa’s most awarded and exciting jazz musicians.
A color reminiscent of summer-touched water turned to wine. Green herbs and tea bags on the nose give way to a soft, fuzzy palate of sun-dried peaches, apricots, almond skins, lemons, melons, and ripe naartjies (clementines).
