Deanna Minich, PhD, MS, FACN, CNS, IFMCP
Chief Science Officer
About
Dr. Deanna Minich is a pioneering nutrition scientist and researcher with over 25 years of experience in circadian biology, nutrition, and integrative health. She has authored more than 50 scientific publications, including a widely cited Nutrients review (2022) on melatonin, circadian disruption, and what she and her co-authors termed “darkness deficiency” - a modern phenomenon driven by artificial light exposure and societal shifts like Daylight Saving Time that disrupt the body’s natural rhythms.
Internationally recognized for her work on color-coded nutrition (“eating the rainbow”), detoxification, and hormone health, Dr. Minich brings a multidimensional approach that blends science and soul. She currently serves as Chief Scientific Officer at Symphony Natural Health and sits on the Board of the Personalized Lifestyle Medicine Institute. In 2025, she was honored with the Linus & Ava Helen Pauling Award from the Institute for Functional Medicine for her groundbreaking contributions to integrative health. She is a favored guest on leading health and nutrition podcasts and is also casted in the upcoming The (M) Factor: Before the Pause documentary on women's perimenopause (PBS, March 2026).
