<p>Will Ahmed is the Founder and CEO of WHOOP, which has developed next generation wearable technology for optimizing human performance and health. WHOOP members include professional athletes, Fortune 500 CEOs, fitness enthusiasts, military personnel, frontline workers and a broad range of people looking to improve their performance. WHOOP has raised more than $400 million from top investors and is valued at $3.6 billion, making it the most valuable standalone wearables company in the world. Ahmed has recruited an active advisory board that consists of some of the world’s most notable cardiologists, technologists, marketers, and designers. Ahmed was named to the 2021 Sports Business Journal 40 under 40 list as well as 2020 Fortune 40 Under 40 Healthcare list and previously named to Forbes 30 Under 30 and Boston Business Journal’s 40 Under 40. Ahmed founded WHOOP as a student at Harvard, where he captained the Men’s Varsity Squash Team and graduated with an A.B. in government. </p><p></p>

<p>Before joining WHOOP in 2013 as the first full-time employee and first scientist, Emily studied Neurobiology at Harvard University and studied circadian biology in the Analytical and Modeling Unit of the Division of Sleep Medicine at Harvard&#x27;s Brigham and Women&#x27;s Hospital. As a runner and former gymnast, Emily knows first hand the importance of sleep and recovery for peak performance. At WHOOP, she blends this personal experience with the sleep and analytics knowledge she developed at Harvard to empower athletes to make intelligent, data-driven decisions.</p>

<p>Orville Kolterman, MD, became the chief Medical Officer of Pendulum in 2014. Dr. Kolterman is an internationally respected diabetes expert that has been involved in advancing diabetes care for nearly 50 years. He successfully brought four GLP-1 drugs from research trials to market as the Chief Medical Officer at Amylin Pharmaceuticals. He’s held the role of Adjunct Processor of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego for over 20 years, and is a past President of the California Affiliate of the American Diabetes Association.</p><p>Dr. Kolterman completed his residency training in Endocrinology at Stanford University, his MD at the Stanford School of Medicine, and his BA at the University of Kansas.</p>

<p>Lisa is the Co-founder and CEO of Mermaid Straw. An extroverted introvert that loves cats, puzzles, being goofy, and working (it&#x27;s true - Lisa loves to work), she&#x27;s also an empath and highly intuitive. As a matter of fact, Mermaid Straw came to be what it is today, all because Lisa had a dream about starting the company. She has a chronic illness known as POTS, and is an advocate for fellow Spoonie warriors everywhere. She has a deep passion for doing what&#x27;s right for this planet, and has long before this company began. She is obsessed with her husband, Adam, of over 13 years, and their 5 precious kitties. Lisa is forever grateful that Adam took this leap of faith with her and started Mermaid Straw from the ground up. Lisa&#x27;s goal is to make Mermaid Straw a common household name, to be seen on the shelves at your favorite stores, and to spread awareness about how one person can make a difference. </p>
