These mugs were inspired by a visit to Oaxaca, Mexico, where black clay has been traditionally used for centuries in the region of San Bartolo Coyotepec. A black stoneware clay from Spain was sourced and used to create these cups, reminiscent of one brought home from the trip. This clay fires to more of a dark brown. The cups were thrown and finished with a glossy gray glaze, which takes on subtle brown tones due to the unique clay body. They are safe to use in the microwave and dishwasher.
They are approximately 3 inches x 4 inches wide. They hold around 12 ounces.
