Biography
Richard Harris is a science correspondent for NPR's Science Desk. Since joining NPR in 1986, Harris has gone on nine space shuttle missions, reported on climate change from the South Pole, covered the World Series, the Olympic Games, and much more. Harris' reporting on the tobacco industry was recognized with a 1995 George Foster Peabody Award. He has also been recognized with the 2000 American Science Writer's award and the 2008 Cozzarelli Prize from the National Academy of Sciences.
