Founding Story

Shannon Davis is the founder of Woven Shop, a home and lifestyle brand rooted in the belief that meaningful spaces are built slowly, with care. Shannon’s path to Woven began long before the brand itself — shaped by her academic background at the University of Washington’s Evans School, where she earned her MPA and immersed herself in the intersection of thoughtful business, sustainability, and community impact. During her time at UW, Shannon and her husband co-created a socially driven venture that competed nationally and internationally, reinforcing her conviction that design should not only be beautiful, but deeply intentional.

After years of consulting and teaching, Shannon found herself returning to the quiet rituals that had always grounded her: cooking, hosting, arranging a home in ways that felt warm, inviting, and personal. She noticed that the pieces she cherished the most weren’t the ones acquired quickly, but those gathered gradually — connected to place, memory, and craft. That intuition became the foundation for Woven.

Woven reflects Shannon’s guiding philosophy: that home should feel collected, not decorated; layered, not rushed. The brand champions natural materials, timeless forms, and artisan craftsmanship — choosing pieces that invite touch, conversation, and long use. Today, Shannon leads Woven from Berkeley, California, where the brand is deeply influenced by the city’s creative culture, emphasis on local craft, and slow, intentional way of living. As a mother and homemaker as much as a founder and designer, Shannon’s work is rooted in real life — in the belief that home is a place to gather, restore, and return to, again and again.
