Before founding The Daily Dress, Alexa did PR in New York City for David Yurman and Hermès. After having a baby, she felt like she couldn’t wear anything in her closet, either because it was dry clean only, required a strapless bra, wasn’t comfortable, or was too fussy with zippers or buttons. She only had a few minutes to get herself ready in the morning, which resulted in her wearing sweatpants every day. After a while, this became demoralizing. She didn’t feel like herself anymore and missed the feeling of putting on a cute outfit. She wanted a sophisticated dress with a flattering silhouette that also had a built-in bra, pockets, no zipper, and was machine washable. Alexa searched the internet high and low trying to find a dress that fit her needs, but everything she found came up short. It either looked too athletic, too frilly, or didn’t have the functionality she needed. So she set out to create it. Through painstaking attention to detail throughout the creation process, she is so excited to finally be able to share The Daily Dress with you.  

Alexa lives in Austin, Texas with her husband, son and cat.
