About
Sherah helps people do more and stress less - especially busy moms.
Sherah is the only personal assistant app built for busy women and families that (1) provides both in-person and virtual support, (2) uses a workforce of local U.S. moms who are experts in the to-do list of women and families, and (3) partners with preferred local vendors to support members in getting their to-do list done.
Headquartered in Richmond, VA and now serving members in 27 states, including 8 markets with in-person support, Sherah blends its tech-enabled platform with a curated workforce of highly skilled, mom-powered personal assistants. In this symbiotic relationship, mostly stay-at-home moms support mostly working moms to get their to-do list done. And in turn, the member moms support the assistant moms by providing them with flexible, meaningful income. Overall, both are more supported and remain in the workforce in a way that also supports their families.
Our mission is to support women and families and to enable all women to feel their best without stressing out daily, burning out in their jobs or at home, or stalling out in their climb up the corporate ladder. Sherah also sells its services to corporations who want to better support caregivers and all team members with this voluntary employee benefit. Because support at home IS support at work.
Founding Story
Kristin Richardson, founder and CEO of Sherah, launched the company in 2022 after a 25-year corporate career balancing C-suite leadership roles with raising two young daughters. During that time, she personally experienced the immense pressure of trying to excel at work while managing a household, caring for aging parents, and still finding time for herself.
Frustrated by the lack of personal-assistant solutions that understood the wide scope of a mom's to-do list and could run errands for her locally, Kristin had the “a-ha” moment when she realized she needed to clone of herself.
She quit her job and decided to build Sherah. Today, Sherah is growing across the U.S., offering flexible, meaningful work to its assistants and essential support to its members across the U.S.
