Plantologist
Skincare for skin volume loss
Overview
| Founder | At 32, facing droopiness and volume loss, I chose science over fillers. As an R&D chemist who'd battled severe acne and Accutane, I knew injection risks too well. Three years of lab work yielded my breakthrough. |

About
ABOUT THE BRAND — PLANTOLOGIST
Plantologist is a science-driven skincare brand founded at the intersection of cosmetic chemistry, plant biology, and skin physiology. Built by a cosmetic chemist and engineer, the brand was created to challenge surface-level skincare solutions and reframe how we think about visible aging—specifically skin volume loss, inflammation, and structural decline. Rather than chasing trends or quick cosmetic fixes, Plantologist focuses on the biological processes that shape how skin looks, feels, and functions over time.
Grounded in clinical research and plant-powered formulation science, Plantologist develops products that support the skin as a living system. The brand prioritizes ingredient transparency, functional actives, and delivery systems that work with skin biology—not against it. With a commitment to thoughtful formulation, ethical sourcing, and long-term skin health, Plantologist is helping define a new category of skincare rooted in structure, not hype—designed for people who want results without compromise.
Founding Story
Our Story
I Refused Fillers at 32.
So I Created This Instead.
SKIN PUDDING™ was born from a simple refusal to accept that needles were the only option for facial volumizing.

Meet the Chemist Behind the Formula
At 32, I looked in the mirror and had one of those moments. You know the one. Where you do a double-take and think, "When did THAT happen?"
The first signs of droopiness. Volume loss. Dark circles that concealer couldn't quite hide anymore. And like many people my age, my first thought was: "Maybe I should get fillers?"
But here's the thing—I'm an R&D cosmetic chemist. I know what can go wrong.
Hyaluronic acid fillers don't always break down uniformly. Sometimes they don't break down at all. Over time, they can migrate. Create unevenness. Compound into excessive volume in places you never intended.
And then there are the real risks: vascular occlusion, nerve damage, vision problems if injected near the eyes.
I'd already been through hell with my skin. Years of severe acne. Endless dermatologist visits. Accutane with side effects that were honestly devastating.
I couldn't justify adding injection risks to that history.
So I did what I do best: I went to the lab.
Three Years in the Making
I spent three years testing hundreds of ingredients across tens of batches to create something that could work differently than injectable fillers—but still deliver real results.
The breakthrough came when I figured out how to use custom molecular weight hyaluronic acid in a lipid-rich carrier system.
Most HA products use water-based formulas. They can't penetrate beyond the skin's surface. That's why they only provide temporary hydration, not actual volumizing.
But oil-based delivery changes everything.
Ceramides and lipid-derived compounds create a vehicle that enhances penetration into the deeper epidermis. Your skin absorbs the HA right where you apply it, creating plumping from the outside in.
It's epidermal volumizing, not dermal injection. A completely different mechanism.
