Planet Nusa is a female-founded, community-driven activewear brand from Copenhagen, created to move people in every way. Founded by best friends Mille Skat and Kristine Esmer, who saw a need for a more inclusive space in activewear, Planet Nusa was built on the belief that movement should feel good. The brand designs products that support the full spectrum of modern life: strong enough to train in, soft enough to relax in, and stylish enough to live in – rooted in Scandinavian values of openness, honesty, and care.
Founding Story
In 2018, friends Kristine Esmer and Mille Skat launched Planet Nusa in Denmark as a direct-to-consumer activewear brand with a clear mission: to disrupt the fast-fashion landscape and foster a meaningful sense of community through fashion. Frustrated by the lack of connection in larger cities, they drew on their shared passion for movement and style to develop a brand where activewear and community are inseparable. That foundational ethos of intentional design, transparency, and inclusivity has continued to define Planet Nusa as it grows.

Best friends Mille and Kristine met while working together in the fashion space. When they founded Planet Nusa, they began by designing what they themselves were missing — an activewear and lifestyle brand focused on making products that last, with a high standard for materials and production. Most important to the duo is bringing empowerment and openness to the fitness space. Planet Nusa’s regular brand-hosted events all over the world are open to all levels and fitness backgrounds, with the goal of making every interaction welcoming.
