About
About Opal Cool (www.opalcool.com)
Opal Cool offers a premium collection of cold therapy products uniquely designed for women to feel cool, calm and in control. With its SkinSafe™ promise, featuring plant-powered precision cooling technology and hygienic, direct-to-skin material, Opal Cool helps you enjoy long-lasting cooling comfort and relief you can trust. Whether your mercury is rising from hot flashes, night sweats, anxiety, or heat stress; or aches and pains threaten to disrupt your day, Opal Cool’s got your back (and front).
Opal Cool is all about transparency, offering the products’ cold temp truth — 58°F or 80°F degrees. These options are scientifically proven to be both therapeutic and safe for the skin, avoiding risks of ice burns, frostbite, or nerve damage (unlike traditional ice or gel-based products).
 Opal Cool's Mission:
Opal Cool is on wellness mission to help women feel confidently cool, calm and collected with the help of cold therapy rituals.
The Opal Cool brand is inspired by Opal gemstone symbolism: hope, clarity, truth, natural healing and emotional balance.Â
Founding Story
Opal Cool was created by Tammy Lee, one of Minnesota’s top honored woman business leaders in the health and biotech industry, and is the founder of Xena Therapies, a medical tech company. In 2020, Tammy set out on a mission to innovate effective health and wellness products to support women’s unmet or underserved needs.
Â
Tammy created the Opal Cool line of cold therapy products using a trade secret design and manufacturing process to engineer a cooling temperature that is skin-safe and provides long-lasting cool relief and comfort without any risk of ice burn. Opal Cool’s novel designs are uniquely created through the lens of women’s needs for cool relief where and when she needs it most.
Â
Tammy’s interest in cold therapy began when she suffered from mastitis during her breastfeeding days and today understands firsthand the toll hot flashes can have on women.Â

Testimonials
“The hypothalamus is the part of our brain that manages body temperature,” Goldstein says. “Estrogen, which impacts so many aspects of our autonomic system, regulates the hypothalamus, so less estrogen means irregularities with body temperature can occur—AKA hot flashes. I really love Opal’s Gal Pals (for the chest) which uses a medical-grade technology to stop sweats and cool skin to a skin-safe 58 degrees.” - published in The Flow Space
“For hot flash relief...It’s really cool technology...what’s smart about this is that it’s a plant-based technology that can go directly on your skin...so typically you wouldn’t put all ice packs right against your skin but you can put these directly against your skin, so for cooling relief anywhere you need it there’s a solution here for you. Very smart, very smart.”
