About

My Happy Flo is a vitamin and supplement brand founded by black women with a mission to revolutionize the relationship women have with their periods.

Since 2021, our plant based products have helped thousands of women achieve pain-free periods through holistic supplements that prioritize healthier hormones. In a market saturated with sugar-filled gummies, synthetic hormones, and products containing hormone-disrupting preservatives, our products skips the fillers and is formulated with all-natural ingredients that not only alleviate period pain and PMS symptoms but also address hormonal imbalances. This approach helps reduce the risks of conditions such as fibroids, PCOS, endometriosis, and infertility in women of reproductive age.

My Happy Flo is not just a product; it's a movement dedicated to addressing the unique hormonal and menstrual health needs of melanated women. This demographic, through exposures to endocrine disrupting products and higher levels of estrogen, faces an increased risk for conditions like fibroids and are 2-3 times more likely to experience period trauma due to deficiencies in crucial nutrients like magnesium, iron, and Vitamin D3. Our meticulously curated supplements feature research-backed ingredients aimed at supporting hormone balance, providing a holistic, hormone-free approach to achieving pain-free and symptom-free periods.

In a market where black and brown women's unique health needs are frequently overlooked, My Happy Flo shines as a beacon of empowerment. For too long, women have silently endured discomfort and told that painful periods were the norm. We are here to challenge that narrative and prove that pain-free periods are not only possible but a right every woman deserves!

Founding Story

Necole Kane, a former celebrity blogger turned women's health advocate, journey to launching My Happy Flo was inspired by the untimely deaths of her parents at ages 41 and 42 from preventable illnesses. Confronting the harsh reality of losing both parents and numerous female family members by the age of 35, Necole turned inward to assess her own health and habits. Fascinated by the healing potential of whole foods and vitamins, she began studying holistic nutrition and hormone health.

During her research, she discovered the startling statistic that approximately 80% of women live with hormonal imbalances that could lead to serious complications like fibroids, PCOS, endometriosis, breast cancer, and estrogen-induced cancers, Necole was particularly alarmed by the heightened risks faced by Black women. Discovering that Black women were 2 to 3 times more likely to be diagnosed with fibroids and experienced severe menstrual symptoms, she established that painful, prolonged, and heavy periods served as the body's check engine light and were the first signs of hormonal imbalances. This revelation highlighted a silent epidemic, and Necole, disheartened by the limited options available – birth control, painkillers with potential long-term side effects, or invasive surgeries like hysterectomy – recognized the urgent need for a holistic solution that addressed the root cause.

In 2021, Necole launched My Happy Flo, a holistic product addressing nutritional gaps, promoting hormonal balance, and reducing the risk factors associated with reproductive health complications caused by estrogen dominance. Drawing on her strength and tenacity as a media mogul, Necole has become a driving force in a movement where women take charge of their wellness, advocating for their health. My Happy Flo, crafted for better periods, not only provides access to holistic solutions but also emphasizes education, awareness, and the creation of safe spaces for women to discuss taboo topics related to their menstrual cycles. The brand empowers the community with resources to become the CEO of their menstrual health.
