Manatee Coffee, Florida’s original “Coffee with a Cause,” is celebrating the upcoming holiday season by introducing two limited-edition, seasonally inspired roasts: Eggspresso Nog and Winter Retreat. These special releases are designed to bring festive cheer and comfort to customers while staying true to its mission of supporting marine conservation.
The holiday rollout begins with the launch of Eggspresso Nog on October 23rd. The medium roast starts with an espresso bean base that captures the creamy, spiced essence of classic eggnog with rich notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla. The blend will be available in 12oz grounds and 2lb whole bean, and is the perfect way to kick off the season.
Then on November 4th, Manatee Coffee debuts Winter Retreat; a comforting, dark roast organic coffee that delivers a full-bodied profile of rich cocoa and toasted nut, with a smooth, warming finish. Winter Retreat is available exclusively in 2lb whole bean.
These new roasts reflect Manatee Coffee’s ongoing pursuit of quality and sustainability. This strategic product line expansion underscores the brand's core values, as Brad Gutwein, CEO of Manatee Coffee, says: “Growing Manatee Coffee’s portfolio of organic roasts has been a significant goal for us, aimed at making more sustainable and high-quality options accessible to everyone. The launch of our new holiday favorites, Eggspresso Nog and Winter Retreat, is a perfect expression of that commitment. These seasonal roasts simply add a festive flavor to our core mission of providing exceptional coffee that is both ethically sourced and sustainably produced.”
With each bag sold, the company continues its broader mission to protect marine life. To date, Manatee Coffee has contributed over $84,000 to organizations dedicated to the conservation of manatees and their delicate coastal ecosystems, including Save the Manatee Club, Mote Marine Laboratory, Clearwater Marine Aquarium, Friends of Manatee Lagoon, and Jacksonville Zoo and Botanical Gardens.
Manatee Coffee’s seasonal roasts are available for a limited time online at www.ManateeCoffee.com. Select Manatee Coffees can be purchased at The Fresh Market, all Costco stores in Florida, and online at Amazon. Every cup supports high-quality, eco-conscious coffee – and a cause worth diving into.
ABOUT MANATEE COFFEE
Manatee Coffee was founded with a mission to support and protect Florida’s beloved manatees. From the start, our goal has been simple: craft delicious coffee while giving back to conservation efforts that truly make a difference. The story of Manatee Coffee began on the beautiful and historic island of Sanibel, Florida.
Brothers, Brad and Cary Gutwein, frequently boated along the coastal waters and often encountered waterway signs reminding boaters to go slow in the manatee zones. As they learned more about the area's ecosystem, they discovered the manatee and its endangered status, inspiring them to explore ways to support and protect its habitats.
Paired with their passion for coffee, they came across Manatee Coffee, which at the time was tied to Marco Island and Miami. Intrigued by this coffee with a cause, Brad and Cary reached out to the owners to explore ways they could contribute to their mission. This conversation ultimately led them to acquire ownership of Manatee Coffee in 2010.
When Manatee Coffee was acquired, the brothers had an office on Periwinkle Way in Sanibel, Florida. Currently, Manatee coffee is roasted and packaged in Indiana; however, Florida is where the brand began and where the brand maintains its roots and identity.
Today, Manatee Coffee raises awareness for Manatee Conservation through the support of trusted partners including Save the Manatee Club, Mote Marine Laboratory, Clearwater Marine Aquarium, Friends of Manatee Lagoon, and Jacksonville Zoo and Botanical Gardens. Thanks to its customers, more than $89,000 has been donated to trusted organizations who help support manatees and their environments for future generations.
