Founding Story
LúmEnvy Skincare™ was born from Giovanna McCarthy’s decades-long experience in medical aesthetics. As the founder of PDO Max, a company providing FDA-cleared devices and treatments to medical professionals, Giovanna saw firsthand the transformative effects of advanced skincare. Inspired by these results and driven by a desire to make effective, luxurious skincare accessible to everyone, she launched LúmEnvy Skincare. The brand embodies her belief that glowing skin is more than a beauty goal—it’s a reflection of confidence, self-expression, and self-care, grounded in expertise, innovation, and a dedication to helping people feel empowered in their own skin.
Team Bios
Giovanna McCarthy, Founder of PDO Max and LúmEnvy Skincare, has been a leader in the skincare industry for over 30 years. A Licensed Cosmetologist with advanced Esthetic Medical Certifications, she is certified in the use of all commercially available laser systems for skin care. A visionary entrepreneur, Giovanna pioneered the Day Spa movement in Syracuse, NY, opening the city’s first Day Spa in 1990 that blended medical aesthetics with spa services. For the past 15 years, she has collaborated with top plastic surgeons and dermatologists in the greater Syracuse area, earning recognition as a trusted educator and liaison between patients and physicians. Through PDO Max, she continues to elevate the medical aesthetics field by providing FDA-cleared PDO threads and world-class training to practitioners nationwide.
