The Best Cat Toys
""This cat bed has a memory foam sculpted-contour mattress base with a super cozy (removable and washable) nano heating and volcanic-particle-infused cover. It has a button on the side with different heat settings, including timed heatings. It has optional self-heating natural herb pad attachments for further pain relief and to help reduce arthritic inflammation, which is especially ideal for senior cats. The sculpted bed is specially contoured to provide orthopedic support for the cat's joints. Pro tip: Put the bed on a higher surface or somewhere the cats already lounge. Cats love to be off the ground, and once I moved this on top of my side desk, both of my cats lay in it constantly.""

The 7 best cat beds, feline-tested and approved
""Best heated: Knead Therapeutic Bed - When I saw the $169 (sale) price tag on this heated orthopedic cat bed, I had to ask my experts if it was really worth the cost. "Orthopedic beds, especially heated ones, are a smart investment," says Dr. Jamie Tomlin, lead veterinarian and partner at CityVet Windhaven Clinic. Even if your cat isn't showing signs of arthritis, Placer says around 90% of senior cats have joint pain.
Some cat beds have high sides that can be tough for arthritic cats to climb in and out of, but not this one. The Knead Cat Bed offers a better way to rest, with 4-inch thick contoured memory foam for ergonomic neck and joint support, plus gentle heat to promote circulation and soothe aching muscles. My cats couldn't get enough of this bed. When one wasn't curled up on it, the other was. And while you might assume it was heat drawing them in, my cat, Lyra, claimed the bed before it was even plugged in — a testament to its cozy shape and soft, wool-like cover.
When plugged in and turned on, the brand says the bed warms to up to 104 degrees F. I measured the surface temperature on top of the cover to be a few degrees cooler. It has three timer options: continuous and four or eight-hour auto shut-off. It can also warm to 113 degrees F for 30 minutes, but check with your vet before using the higher heat. I found the four-hour timer perfect for my cats' naps. If you'd rather leave it on all day, the bed meets US and Canadian low-voltage safety standards. The cover is machine washable and the waterproof foam wipes clean.
Joint pain isn't required for cats to love a heated bed. If your cat simply enjoys warm naps, the Frisco Self-Warming Bolster Bed is a great inexpensive option. Rather than electricity, it uses your cat's body heat to create warmth. It's ultra-soft, and though small and lightly cushioned, my 11-pound cats love curling up in it.""

45 Products So Good, You’ll Wanna Print Out Pamphlets About Them And Hand Them Out
""A splurgey Knead cat bed that's basically the cat version of a high-end Tempur-Pedic. Designed with arthritis-prone felines in mind, the sculpted cushion offers support for achy joints. It even *heats up* with an included USB-C cable, so there's a good chance your cat will finally stop sleeping on your overheated computer. Will you get some work done now? NO — you'll be too busy watching your angelic kitty sleep. If you like to spoil your cat, this is the ultimate way to do it. The memory foam is firm but sculpted to cradle your lil' one like the baby they are. If you unzip the bottom, there's an indent where you can place an included herb pouch that's supposed to help reduce arthritic inflammation. The cord situation is a little annoying — you have to keep the bottom flap unzipped to plug it in — but you can opt for a power bank to keep things cordless.
Milk Tea, the cat (as you can see) loves this thing! She jumped in as soon as it came out of the box. She spends hours just dozing and soaking up the warmth. I like that there's an auto-shutoff mode so you can turn it on and go to bed.
If you're unsure, Knead offers a try-before-you-buy option.
Promising review: "My 20-year-old cat has several medical issues, and I want to make her final years as wonderful as possible. I put Bridgette on the pad and now I can't get her off of it. I serve her meals while she lounges. It's been a cold winter, and she can't go on the catio, so the Knead is her comfort zone. I'm so glad I got it." —Kathy D.""

Editor picks: 23+ items we loved from October
""I’m always looking for the latest and greatest products in the pet space, both as someone who covers these types of items for NBC Select and as a mom of two cats. So when Knead reached out and asked if I wanted to try its cat bed, I had to say “yes”. I wasn’t sure if my cats would love it because they typically prefer sleeping in their cat trees, but they were clearly obsessed with Knead from the moment it arrived — before I could even fully get it out of the box, one of my cats climbed inside. The spongy orthopedic bed has a sculpted shape with a dip in the middle, which my cats curl up in, and a sherpa-like cover they love making biscuits on with their paws. The coolest thing about the bed is that it comes with herbal pads, which eases joint pain and helps cats relax, according to the brand. I can also plug the bed in so it gets warm.""
