Born from the lived realities of a multicultural and multifaith marriage, Designer & Creative Director Chesca draws on her professional design background, having designed for global names including Represent Clothing, Zara, Maserati, and Harrods, to address the quiet tension she experienced when immersed in the rich traditions of Islamic events. That tension was twofold from the weight of imposter syndrome as a woman outside that faith, and the simultaneous fear of losing her own identity when nothing reflected her style.

The brand is deeply committed to British craftsmanship, working with a London manufacturer who has produced for iconic houses such as Vivienne Westwood and JW Anderson. This ensures that each gown upholds the precision, artistry, and innovation synonymous with contemporary British design.

Kimesca stands apart in today’s crowded landscape by bringing the language of Western high fashion into dialogue with the concept of modesty. The result is a blueprint gown that honours cultural richness while speaking to contemporary design: distinctively modern, unmistakably refined, and open to any woman who who sees herself in the design - modest or otherwise.

Founding Story

Kimesca is a contemporary British modestwear brand redefining the dialogue between Western high fashion and the principles of modesty. Founded by husband-and-wife duo Kamil and Chesca, the brand emerged from the lived realities of a multicultural, multifaith marriage, where cultural richness and personal identity naturally intertwined.

Designer and Creative Director, Chesca, draws on both her personal journey and her professional background, having designed for global names including Represent Clothing, Zara, Maserati, and Harrods. Immersed in Islamic traditions through her husband’s heritage, she experienced a quiet tension that was twofold: the weight of imposter syndrome as a woman outside that faith and culture, and the simultaneous fear of losing her identity when nothing reflected her own style.

For Kamil, after building multiple successful e-commerce brands, this is the one rooted in his own community and cultural experience. As CMO, he ensures the brand is not only creatively driven but built with intention, rather than as just another commercial venture.
