Founding Story

KC Chic Designs was founded by Klarisa Crespo, along with the help of her husband, Antonio Crespo. When KC Chic Designs was founded, they started by handmaking pieces on our kitchen table with the help of their two boys, Jayden and Logan.

Klarisa immigrated to New York City from Kyiv, Ukraine at 8 years old. About 13 years ago, their family moved to Tampa, FL. After the move, Klarisa worked as a teacher for Students with Exceptionalities. In 2016, she struggled finding the perfect statement pieces for her outfits. Then, she decided the only way to find the right piece was to make it herself.

After selling to friends at her school, Tony encouraged her to start helping others find their statement pieces too.

In 2019, Klarisa took a leave of absence from teaching. Then, they decided to fully dedicated their lives to accessorizing the stories of thousands of strong powerful women around the globe. They have been growing their team with people who share this passion. That team is comprised of many students, teachers, and former teachers. Seven years later, KC Chic Designs now has a team of 13, two separate offices, and a very successful e-commerce brand.
