Founding Story

Travwell was founded by Rachel Howze, a travel expert and vacation rental Superhost, after years of planning intentional, off-the-beaten-path trips across more than twenty countries. While living and working abroad, she noticed how overwhelmed people felt trying to plan meaningful travel in a noisy digital world.

The spark came during a road trip through the French countryside, ending with a New Year’s celebration in Paris where she fell in love (with her now husband). That trip showed her that great travel isn’t about how much you cram in. It’s about how much you actually feel. Travwell was born to help others experience travel that way: slow, beautiful, and unforgettable.
