Founding Story
Our founder consistently struggled with the sensation of cold feet in bed but hated the constricting feeling of socks. Unable to fall asleep until her feet were warm, she began wrapping a fleece blanket over them at the bottom of her bed. It was during one of these frustrating nights that she had the idea of sewing the fleece blanket to her sheets, so that the blanket didn't get tangled at the bottom. She relearned how to sew and created her first prototype.
Guided by the Design Thinking Framework she was studying at TCU, she refined the product through research, test groups, and experimentation with various styles and materials. After many iterations, extensive time, and valuable feedback, she developed what is now the CozyLife Bed Sheet Set.

Sophia Beck, founder of CozyLife, brings a lifelong entrepreneurial spirit to everything she does.
Originally from Newport Beach, California and now based in Dallas, Texas, Sophia is a proud graduate of Texas Christian University’s Neeley School of Business, where she majored in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. From an early age—whether selling homemade “pulp-sicles” or offering neighborhood pet cleanup services—Sophia was always creating, building, and testing new ideas.
Her passion deepened during her academic journey, where she was introduced to the Design Thinking Framework. This discovery sparked a lasting interest in user-centered design and problem-solving, both of which would later guide the creation of the CozyLife brand. Rooted in empathy, innovation, and function, CozyLife is a direct result of Sophia’s drive to solve real problems and elevate everyday comfort.
