About

Café Après is a lifestyle accessories brand positioned at the intersection of country-club sport and urban sophistication. We design premium small-batch collections that transition seamlessly from athletic performance to everyday leisure, embodying the essence of après sport.

Our products draw from the rituals of tennis, golf, pickleball, skiing, snowboarding, and boating. Each piece is engineered for both function and style:

  1. Socks: Crafted from breathable Supima® cotton blends with arch support bands, padded toe and heel zones, and full-foot silicone grip options for Pilates, barre, yoga, and training.
  2. Apparel & Accessories: Drop-shoulder sweatshirts, structured caps, silk scarves, and lightweight canvas gym/duffel bags extend our vision beyond performance into everyday styling, encouraging a transition from court or studio to café or city street.
  3. Design Philosophy: Function and durability come first. Every detail—materials, knit density, reinforced seams, or non-slip placement—is considered to support performance, comfort, and longevity.

The name Café Après reflects our ethos: a warm invitation to pause and savor the moments after play—whether it’s coffee post-match, a glass of wine après ski, or quiet reflection after training.

Each collection is released in limited quantities with no restocks or reruns. This approach reduces waste, encourages long-term use, and reinforces our commitment to intentional, sustainable design.

Founding Story

In 2023, Victoria Mathis set out to solve a problem she kept running into in her own routine. A lifelong fashion devotee, she loved the ritual of Pilates but couldn’t stand the socks on the market—loud grip patterns, flashy slogans, thin fabrics that fell apart after a few washes, and yet, shockingly overpriced.

She imagined what the fashion-forward, luxury-leaning woman would actually want: socks that were understated, comfortable, durable, and transitional. A pair that worked just as well in the studio as they did slipping into loafers for brunch after class. That vision became the foundation of Café Après.

Victoria began researching manufacturers, refining designs, and sourcing elevated materials. The first products were grip and sport socks—crafted with cushioned toe and heel zones, supportive arch bands, and premium Supima® cotton blends. Soon, the collection expanded to include pieces that served both sport and style: caps, canvas bags, and silk scarves—functional accessories that could live in both athletic and everyday wardrobes.

Today, Café Après continues to grow as a luxury sport-lifestyle brand, creating small-batch collections designed to last and made for life’s transitions—from Pilates to brunch, tennis to errands, ski slope to après drinks.
