Bizora was born out of lived frustration with how broken and outdated the tax research and compliance process is even at the highest levels. As a CPA and International Tax Manager at EY, I spent years advising billion-dollar tech and entertainment companies on cross-border M&A and structuring. But behind the scenes, we were still relying on legacy research tools, manual documentation, and hours of hunting through dense regulations just to answer basic questions. The inefficiency wasn’t just annoying it was costly.

The turning point came when a friend started an HVAC business and casually incorporated as a C-Corp based on generic advice. That one decision—made without proper tax planning cost them tens of thousands in unnecessary taxes. If they had structured as an LLC or S-Corp, that money could have gone into their kid’s college fund or paid for a much-needed family trip. That’s when I realized: the tax system isn’t just complex it’s inaccessible, and the people who need guidance the most are the least equipped to get it.

In December 2024, I partnered with my CTO, an experienced AI engineer, and bootstrapped Bizora while working full-time in corporate to fund development. We hired a lean team of engineers and started building the platform we wished existed—one that combines AI speed with tax law depth, capable of delivering answers on par with a $1,000/hour tax law partner.

From helping solo CPAs save hours each week to enabling offshore teams to handle U.S. tax work with confidence, Bizora is already making an impact. But this is just the beginning. Our goal is bold: to become the tax research infrastructure for the modern world and one day, have even the Treasury Department rely on Bizora for insight.
