About
BabyBuddha is dedicated to providing mothers with freedom, support, and an enhanced pumping experience. They revolutionized the battery-powered breast pump, designed to grant mothers the freedom of mobility while ensuring a comfortable pumping process. With BabyBuddha's innovative technology, mothers can comfortably pump wherever they go, allowing them to navigate their daily lives while prioritizing their breastfeeding journey.
Breastfeeding, including pumping, is one of the most challenging aspects of a mom's postpartum journey. BabyBuddha, the innovator behind the efficient and reliable portable breast pump, is here to support moms every step of the way
Founding Story
Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Englewood, NJ, BabyBuddha Products was created to offer mothers a portable, hospital-grade pumping experience, liberating them from clunky, stationary pumps. Inspired by the need for mobility, the brand focused on creating a small, powerful, and FDA-approved pump, often referred to as a "game-changer" in the industry.
Founding Story and Evolution:
- The Inspiration: The concept was born in an apartment, aiming to disrupt the market with a high-strength, compact pump that allows mobility.
- Initial Development: In 2016, founder(s) sought a product that required high standards (FDA approval) to avoid being a "commodity" and was later presented with a prototype by an engineer.
- The "Why": The goal was to provide freedom and convenience, allowing mothers to manage their busy lives while maintaining their breastfeeding journeys.
- Evolving Product (BabyBuddha 2.0): Based on real-time feedback from co-founder Matt Masiello's wife—as noted on their Facebook page—a second, more refined version was introduced to provide more comfortable, yet effective, suction levels.
- Target Audience: Working mothers and those seeking to move around while pumping.
- Commitment: The company supports breastfeeding advocacy, including donations to the March of Dimes and, as mentioned on their About page, offering scholarships for future IBCLCs.
