Founding Story

Ajíire was created to reimagine how Yorùbá is learned and shared. Its founder noticed a gap: while many people wanted to speak Yorùbá—whether to connect with family, travel meaningfully, or honor heritage—existing resources often felt academic or inaccessible.

Ajíire began with a simple idea: language should feel natural, not intimidating. The first product—a 100-card flashcard deck paired with an audio guide was designed to make speaking Yorùbá part of daily life. From greeting someone warmly to expressing joy or gratitude, each card helps learners build confidence one phrase at a time.

The name Ajíire means “to wake up to goodness,” capturing the brand’s belief that every new word learned is a step toward cultural understanding and belonging.
