For the technologically obsessed, attending CES (the Consumer Electronics Show) is like scoring a ticket to your favorite festival. The annual event, held in Las Vegas, is a playground for brands, manufacturers, and innovative entrepreneurs to showcase their latest gadgets and innovations. The creations can touch on many categories, from AI and entertainment to wellness and travel. At House Beautiful, we zeroed in on all the new tech-y home goods at CES that our Director of Editorial Special Projects, Carisha Swanson, saw and loved—that is our speciality, after all. While many of the products have yet to hit the actual market, some are available for purchase or pre-order, which means you can get your hands on your favorite items rather quickly.
You can already place an order for the Exobrew, for example, which is a special keg that can heat, cool, ferment, and serve your beer with the touch of a button. Likewise, for the grillers and pitmasters out there, you can add GE's Smart Indoor Smoker (tested and approved by us) to cart just in time for your next prime rib night. For those who are more interested in nifty home gadgets, check out Samsung's aesthetically-pleasing Music Frame, Roborock's new robot vacuum, or Neoplants's bioengineered Pothos that captures and recycles harmful pollutants inside your home. We think the latter will make for an excellent hostess gift once it comes out.
If you didn't get a chance to go to CES, catch up on all the latest and greatest home products from the tradeshow, below. This list will definitely inspire you to upgrade an appliance or two in 2024, and perhaps even present themselves as the perfect gift for others when the holidays roll around again.
Music Frame
At first glance, this looks like someone framed their favorite vinyl and put it out on display. And while that's exactly what Samsung wants people to think, the added layer of ingenuity here is that this is actually a wireless speaker with a built-in IoT hub. Yes, the Music Frame, which complements The Frame TV nicely, can play your favorite tunes by connecting to standalone Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. It can also pair with your Samsung TV and/or soundbar to be used as a TV speaker, rear speaker, or a subwoofer. This new device is meant to blend beautifully into your home, living on your bookshelf or coffee table without disturbing your personal design aesthetic. In addition, the Music Frame will let you display any photo or printed/digital image onto the accompanying Art Panel, a diasec matte acrylic plate.

Neo P1
Whether you have a green thumb or not, you will be impressed by Neoplant's Neo P1, a bioengineered Pothos plant designed to capture and recycle harmful pollutants from indoor air. We know what you're thinking: don't certain plants already do this for us? They do, but not to the levels of the Neo P1. According to the website, regular plants tested by NASA sometimes capture VOCs (volatile organic compounds), but aren't able to recycle them into useful elements.
The Neo P1, meanwhile, is "able to turn VOCs into water, sugars, amino acids, and oxygen." The leading bioengineering startup worked with a team of 20 scientists to create the Neo P1 and performed various tests, which you can read about here, to determine all the positive qualities the plant can provide. Coldsnap
The next time you want ice cream, you won't have to trek to the supermarket to buy some—that is, if you have ColdSnap in your home. The frozen treat maker, which will first release in business settings (think offices and hotels) come spring, can dispense out ice cream, frozen lattes, protein shakes, smoothies, and frozen cocktails. These treats will come housed in single serving pods that you just pop into the machine and in two minutes, you get to indulge in the snack of choice. The product comes with a sweet backstory too, as the idea was initially conceived by ColdSnap's President Matt Fonte's two daughters Sierra and Fiona. They wanted to create a Keurig-style machine that could generate ice cream instantly, and their wish was, well, their dad's command.

The challenge with getting into hobbies like brewing beer or kombucha at home is the extensive learning curve. However, Exobrew's Craft Gen 3 is helping to bridge that gap for all aspiring brewmasters. Its special keg can heat, cool, ferment, and serve. It requires little human assistance and you can control your Exobrew through an app. Since this product is meant for more inexperienced brewers, Exobrew offers kits that come with all the ingredients you'll need for brewing and also recipe ideas, which you can buy a subscription to. The Craft Gen 3 comes with one smart keg, one clean-in-place system and other accessories, plus one starter pack. GE Profile Smart Indoor Smoker
House Beautiful's Director of Editorial Special Projects Carisha Swanson was one of the first editors to test out GE Profile's Indoor Smoker and there's a lot to say about this smart kitchen appliance. For the quick run down: it's intuitive to use (for pitmasters and novice at-home cooks), cleanup is a breeze, and you can essentially have smoked meats every day for dinner. The smoker can also make veggie-friendly sides like Brussels sprouts and sweet potatoes.
"If you love smoked meats, the GE Profile Smart Indoor Smoker is a no-brainer," Swanson says. "My prime rib for two came out perfectly, with leftovers for the next day. I wanted a bit of char on top so I did undercook it (on purpose!) knowing I would finish it in the oven to brown the top, but the flavor was there and the temperature was right thanks to the probe. It let me know when my prime rib was at temperature to finish in the stove."
SpaViva Hand Shower and Cleansing
Self-care enthusiasts, pay attention to Kohler's latest product for the bathroom: the SpaViva. The hand shower works like a normal shower wand, but comes equipped with two spray types. One infuses the water with air to help it retain heat while the other is a microbubble spray that jets out bubbles 100 microns or smaller for a hydrofacial-like cleanse. The accompanying attachments include a face brush, body brush, and body massager so you can massage or exfoliate your body. These attachments can also be recharged through a magnetic dock when not in use. So, who's ready for that at-home spa experience?

OLED Signature T
Televisions can feel like the most unsightly, but necessary, products in your living space. Over the years, brands have created styles you wouldn't want to tuck away behind a cabinet (see: Samsung's The Frame) and now there may another one you'd want front and center in the room: LG's OLED Signature T, a.k.a the transparent TV. As the name implies, the 77-inch display has a 4k panel and behind it is a contrast film that you can raise to make it look like a regular TV or lower, if you want to see what's behind the screen (like your wallpapered wall or backyard).
When you're not in watch mode, you can select from a variety of pre-set backgrounds, from a fish tank to a snowy scene, to set the mood you want. According to its website, LG promises this television will provide "the ultimate visual experience" for customers, so if you're already sold on the aesthetic portion of this piece, jot it down on your must-haves list.

S8 MaxV Ultra
We love a robot vacuum at House Beautiful, so for the folks out there who also like to keep their homes debris-free and extra tidy, check out Roborock's S8 MaxV Ultra. Available starting April 2024, the robot vacuum and mop is your one-stop cleaning solution. Its cutting-edge features include a special side brush and spinning mop system that helps clean hard-to-reach spaces with 100 percent corner coverage.
Meanwhile, the RockDock Ultra automatically empties, refills, and dispenses detergent. It washes the mop with 140°F hot water and dries it at the same temperature to prevent odor and mildew build-up. What are you in the mood to drink today? An iced frap, spicy marg, perhaps a boba tea? No matter what your heart desires, this customizable robotic beverage machine can make it happen. Here's how: you'll have to first order the single-use box containing all the ingredients needed to make your drink, then pop the box into the FrazyBot along with water or alcohol and press a button. Your drink will come out complete as if a barista was serving you because FrazyBot's special functions include grinding the beans, salting the rim, frothing your milk, and even making latte art. As you consume your treat, the machine will self-clean and expel any trash back into the single-use box.
XGIMI Aladdin
Xgimi's Aladdin device is a projector-meets-ceiling light situation and if you're wondering how it works, we'll explain. The Aladdin, which received a CES Innovation Honoree Award for its lifestyle-focused design, pairs with a normal light fixture in order to operate and once it's hooked up, the projector will display an image up to 100 inches diagonally directly from the ceiling. The slimness of this projector is attractive, especially when you consider how bulky other ones on the market are.
The projector also has built-in, 360-degree Harman Kardon speakers, eliminating any visible wires or any further in-ceiling installations. One other feature to note about this product, which may be useful for families with kids, is that Aladdin offers immersive wallpapers, life-sized interactive children's books, and ambient sounds for bedtime.

M1 Self-Cleaning Open-Top Cat Litter Box
Neakasa's open-top cat litter box may be the fanciest place for your pal to do its business. Designed for cats of all sizes, the box features litter-sifting technology, real-time monitoring of waste, and tracks litter levels, which you can see through the Neakasa app. If you're worried about unpleasant smells emitting from the open top, don't worry as the box has advanced odor control plus a leak-proof litter tray that are pre-filled with a gel filter and a waste bag that locks away solid waste and smells. Goat GX-600
Lawn mowers are clunky contraptions that are usually operated by someone—you may have fond memories of seeing, or hearing, your dad on his ride in the backyard—but Ecovacs's Goat GX-600 machine can change all that. This little device, which pairs with your phone, can identify the boundary of your lawn and get to work mowing with just one click while you drink your morning tea. Special functions include the ability to automatically schedule a mowing plan and set a grass cutting height. It has a 40 percent slope climbing capability and can withstand weather conditions like rain. Should the battery run out while it's mowing your yard, it'll return to its charging station and once all powered up, will resume its duties.

Projector T2s
If you're not yet familiar with Yaber, the brand, founded in 2018, specializes in portable and easy-to-use projectors. One of its most notable products is the Pico T1, a portable projector that fits in your pocket, which has won the 2023 Red Dot Design Award and The Best of IFA 2022 Awards. Yaber isn't stopping there though, as it just presented a new item called the Projector T2s at CES. This cute device has a brightness of 500 ANSI Lumens, is Dolby Audio supported, and features both auto focus and auto keystone capabilities. The built-in battery life is for a two-hour use, so if you want a space-saving projector that can keep your child entertained just for a bit, this gets the job done.

Current Backyard's Wi-Fi-enabled, electric grill comes with an app that allows you to monitor and control the grill from anywhere in the house. According to the brand's press release, this is the "only full-size 110V electric grill on the market that reaches a max searing temperature of 700 degrees, surpassing the leading gas grill brand by 150 degrees." It heats up and is ready to cook in just 10 minutes, and offers dual-zone flexibility for independent cooking zones.
Since one of the pain points to grilling is the clean-up, you'll want to note that Current Backyard's electric grill comes with a SmartClean mode, which can be activated on the grill or through the app. The grill will come with meat probes as well as versatile flavor trays, so you can add flavor with water, wood chips, or pellets to smoke.

Pawport
Sometimes it's nice to let your dog or cat come and go as they please through the backyard door. However, installing one may open yourself up to unwanted creatures and even intruders coming in. This is where Pawport comes in, it's a motorized door that fits on existing pet door frames and only activates when your pet walks by while wearing a small, lightweight tag. For the owners, you'll use Pawport's app to customize your pet's schedule, like locking the doors at night or while you're at work, and can track the whereabouts of your furry pal. Hisense Rollable Laser TV
You might have heard of Hisense as the appliance and electronics company was the first to introduce a 8K Laser TV and TriChroma Laser TV globally. Now it's back with more impressive technology, including a Rollable Laser TV that will bring large screen viewing (an experience you find only in movie theaters) to any home. Though not much information has been shared about this product yet, in a press release, the brand states: "By seamlessly rolling and hiding the Laser ambient light rejection screen, consumers are offered a high-performance viewing experience and the ability to hide the screen when it's not in use."
