About

Zonarch is a consumer goods company on a mission to reinvent the holiday experience from the inside out – from the way they approach leisure time to feeling and looking their best while doing so. The brand creates luxury swim that caters to a wide variety of body types and sizes while offering premium style and functionality with a strong commitment to sustainability. Their products sit at the relaxed position between the luxury and mass price point.

The brand encapsulates what all cool girls would wear to escape the city in exchange for sun drenched days spent reconnecting to their free spirit. Their holiday essentials act as the building blocks to a timeless holiday wardrobe, while the unique seasonal drops encourage you express your style with the intention they will have a place in your suitcase for years to come.

Zonarch cares for the people they work with, the planet we live on and the prosperity of all. It operates under a sustainable business philosophy called the Triple-Bottom-Line. Their collections are created entirely with certified regenerated nylon from post-consumer waste, diverting plastic and pollution from landfill and giving it a second chance. They invest back 3% of annual revenue into organizations fighting for climate, women's education and human rights.

Founding Story

When their Belgian born and raised, California based founder was working in the luxury swim industry, she learned that swimwear as a category has been priced disproportionately high in relation to the cost and quality of production. Her belief became that your swimsuit should not cost the same as the plane ticket to your destination, which is still a very common frustration of fashion and swimwear enthusiasts today. She quickly decided this whitespace ought to be filled by building a more honest, sustainable and ethical approach to luxury swimwear, which took her over 4 years to get right.

"ZON" is "sun" in her native language (Dutch), "ARCH" represents curves in architecture and design. To Genevieve, ZONARCH is the celebration and story of our curves under the sun.

When Genevieve moved stateside, she was surprised to find the cultural differences between her European ways vs her American friends' approach to quality of life.

Her peers seemed to be all-consumed with work and spent less time enjoying meaningful things outside of the office. She realized that the workaholic culture of the U.S. encourages people to live to work, not work to live.

She is building Zonarch to inspire our community and generation to shift their perspective and relationship of taking time away from work to welcome stillness, curiosity and enjoyment in our lives.
