Founding Story
Founder/CEO Kelly Perkins started making soap and skincare in the '90s with a simple goal: avoiding toxic ingredients. She was horrified to learn about chemicals like Triclosan, an antibacterial agent that is a hormone inhibitor and linked to cancer.
Finding brands that were truly clean was hard, so she learned to make her own plant-based soap and skincare. People fell in love with her products and from there Spinster Sisters was born.
Today, Kelly is a leader in the natural product industry taking Spinster Sisters from her basement to national distribution in the USA, Canada and online at spinstersistersco.com

Kelly Perkins is an innovator at heart. After reading an article in the early 90s, she was horrified to learn about chemicals like Triclosan, an antibacterial agent that is a hormone inhibitor and linked to cancer. Finding brands that were truly clean was hard, so she learned to make her own plant-based soap and skincare from an apothecary book.
Friends and family fell in love with the formulations, scents, and the cheeky, vintage-inspired branding. She began selling her skin, hair, and bath products at markets & branded pop-up shops, and from there Spinster Sisters was born in 2012.
Kelly has led the brand to national distribution in retailers across the USA & Canada and online at spinstersistersco.com
