Plaine Products, a personal care products company on a mission to eliminate single-use plastic packaging, has been nominated in the Fan Favorite category for The Reusies, an awards competition sponsored by Upstream.

The company is encouraging its customers and supporters to vote for Plaine Products as their favorite reuse company. Plaine Products, which sells hair and body care in reusable, recyclable aluminum bottles, facilitates the return of their own bottles and packaging to be cleaned, refilled, and returned to circulation and has kept more than 300,000 plastic bottles out of landfills and oceans.

“I began Plaine Products when I was unable to find a plastic-free solution I liked for shampoo and conditioner and decided that I probably wasn’t the only one looking for an alternative to single-use plastic bottles,” said co-founder and CEO Lindsey McCoy. “It really is an honor to be nominated for a Reusie award after four years in business and gives me such hope that our customers and consumers everywhere really do have an opportunity to make an environmental impact with their purchasing power,” she explained.

To recognize Plaine Products as the favorite reuse companies, voters can visit, where they can also learn about other solutions to plastic pollution.  More can be learned about Plaine Products at
