About

At Mon Coeur, we believe in making kids clothing that lasts, so the planet does too. This motto has been our guide throughout the sourcing of every component in the making of our clothing line. Our products are produced in Portugal with European sourced fabrics and accessories to limit emissions. Our chain of production includes France, Italy, Spain and Portugal, assuring traceability from the drawing of the collection until our pieces reach the hands of our buyers. Each of our pieces speaks to the latest problem-solving innovations in materials science. Using the latest innovations, from the world’s leading research institutions, labs and scientists our fabrics, labels, embroideries, zippers, buttons and hangtags are derived from recycled and upcycled materials.

We give products destined to pollute the Earth a second life. In order to realize this, we partnered with the 5Gyres institute, which is dedicated to leading the movement that will define a generation on the path of a zero waste sustainable future based on a zero waste culture and circular economies in participating in ‘trash blitz’ aiming to clean plastic from coasts. Through our collaboration with 1% For the Planet, we are building a better future by supporting ocean and beach cleanups, tree planting and supporting communities which are disproportionately affected by climate change.

Founding Story

Childhood is a time of wonder and imagination. So, when Louise Ulukaya's son Miran was born in 2018, she began by wondering, why couldn’t kid’s clothing care? Why can’t we give our most precious little humans the gift of wearing clothes that are actually not harming the planet and that are good for them? She could not find any clothes that truly respected the planet while not compromising on the look and comfort for her baby. She decided to create a brand that care for the environment, respects the people making it, and that looks and feels good while being accessible for all.

Mon Coeur™ was born to imagine a world where the planet comes first, making kinder clothing for earth-loving kids. Spun from reclaimed organic cotton fiber, the soft and cozy fabrics are made with care, down to every last fiber. Imagine if the fabric for kids clothes could be reclaimed from the atelier floor of more grown-up garments. What if buttons and zippers could help to keep plastic out of the ocean? Could we close the loop on kids’ clothing? That’s wearing our heart, on your sleeve. Mon Coeur is dedicated to making kids clothing that lasts, so that our planet does, too.
