Love Beets™ is on a mission to spread the love of beets by sharing products rooted in a passion for taste, quality, convenience, and health. With modern flavors, clean ingredients, and ready-to-eat offerings, Love Beets has something for beet newbies and beet lovers alike.
Bridging the gap between the overly processed, antiquated canned beets and the messy, time-consuming (and often intimidating) raw beets, Love Beets has created a new category of fresh, ready-to-eat, no mess or fuss beets perfect for a variety of meals and eating occasions. With distribution in more than 13,000 retail locations, Love Beets is spreading the joy of beets across the U.S. with its lineup of cooked and ready-to-eat products, including Cooked Beets, Marinated Baby Beets and Perfectly Pickled Sliced Beets. Most products are verified Non-GMO, certified Kosher, gluten-free, vegan, and certified Whole30, and select items are USDA Organic.
Founding Story
Love Beets is a true labor of love from the husband-and-wife team, Guy and Katherine Shropshire. The Shropshire family, known for growing a variety of vegetables in England, decided to purchase a small beet factory with hopes of sharing a family favorite with others. The Shropshires knew they wanted to find a way to attract more people to beets, so the family got to work experimenting with unique marinated beet recipes.
In October 2010, Guy and Katherine brought their marinated baby beets to New York City’s Fancy Food Show, where the response was overwhelmingly positive. Virtually everyone who tasted their beets said they “love beets!”.
Not only did the name stick, but Guy and Katherine moved to the United States, looking for opportunities to build their brand and spread the beet love. With the help of family, farmers, and major retailers, the Love Beets brand blossomed and expanded its reach across the country.
Love Beets flourished and grew so much that in 2016 the company invested in its own state-of-the-art production facility in Rochester, New York, sourcing most of its beets from farms within the U.S, particularly upstate New York.
Since its launch, Love Beets has been defying preconceived notions of beets with an upbeat, modern brand and tasty products that attract beet newbies and beet lovers alike. Guy and Katherine now have an amazing team to help them spread the beet love, far and wide.
