Sustainable Waterwear Sale Turns Black Friday Green
With the early hustle and bustle of holiday shopping, today’s shoppers can feel overwhelmed and disconnected from the warm fuzzies of gift-giving. Shopping philanthropic brands like Line in the Sand can add more purpose and meaning to the season with gifts that give back.
To widen the reach and impact of its mission to give back, Line in the Sand, a line of recycled, UPF 50+ active/waterwear and water-related accessories that takes a stand for empowering women and the planet, is planning its biggest sale of the year with 25% off storewide from Monday, November 18 through Monday, November 28. As they do every day of the year, 100% of profits are donated to ocean and cancer organizations. For this Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale, donations will be made to Stand Up For Cancer.
Line in the Sand was founded by Lynne O'Brien following a leukemia diagnosis and her doctors’ subsequent orders to stay out of the sun due to an increased risk for melanoma. Unwilling to sacrifice her “happy place” time on the water and unable to find suitable swimwear that fit her physically and emotionally, she created her own sustainable, empowering waterwear.
The brand offers sophisticated swim leggings, dresses, and rashguards for women, as well as thoughtfully edited apparel and accessories for men and women. Products are made from recycled materials like reclaimed plastic water bottles and discarded fishing nets. The line is about bucking traditional swimwear that holds us back, feeling great in our bodies, and focusing on what really matters – enjoying the time we have on the water and the planet.
