Joylux is a platform of life-changing menopausal health solutions anchored by their proprietary vFit device for vaginal wellness. In addition to vFit (a home-use red-light device), Joylux offers a suite of intimate care products using all clean ingredients and formulated by Dr. Sarah de la Torre, Ob-Gyn specifically for intimate care. By combining patented technology and science-based products, Joylux is driving improved health outcomes for women as they go through menopause and empowering them to take charge of the change. Joylux is supported by pioneering angels including Alliance of Angels, BELLE Capital, Golden Seeds, Liz Lange, Abby Winkelried, and Dr. Kathy Fields. Joylux is honored to have been awarded The Most Innovative and Ingenious company by the Alliance of Angels in addition to being named one of the Top 30 most disruptive beauty brands by the Interactive Advertising Bureau.

Founding Story

After becoming a mother, Colette experienced firsthand everything that women deal with post-delivery and with age. She was surprised to learn that it wasn't just weight gain, it was also changes to her intimate health. Frustrated by the lack of effective and affordable solutions, she took her experience as a medical aesthetic entrepreneur and partnered with Dr. Sarah, Ob-Gyn to create products that improve all aspects of women’s intimate health. Unfortunately, intimate health is a taboo subject that has been overlooked for far too long. Joylux believes that women need access to solutions that help improve confidence when dealing with common female issues as we pass through life’s milestones, like childbirth and menopause. Joylux knows that sexual health is vital to a woman's overall health. Their small but mighty team of women are committed to finding scientific solutions that are noninvasive, effective, and affordable to help improve all aspects of a woman’s intimate life.

Team Bios

Dr. Sarah de la Torre is a board certified Ob-Gyn and women’s wellness expert who has been in conventional Ob-Gyn for 20 years and has additional specialized accreditation in Functional Medicine. She was a partner in a private group practice for over 15 years where she excelled at caring for women of all ages. She has delivered over 3,000 babies and has helped countless women have successful pregnancies and improved their gynecologic health. Dr. de la Torre is on the Clinical Teaching Faculty at the University of Washington School of Medicine, has spoken internationally and is a published author of clinical and research articles in women’s health. She is a certified NAMS provider and a Fellow of ACOG.

Colette Courtion has spent more than 12 years working in beauty and with medical aesthetic technologies. However, it was her personal experience of becoming a mother that led her to start Joylux, a menopausal health platform that provides home-use solutions for women. She was recently named by Inc Magazine to their prestigious Top 100 Female Founders list. Prior to founding Joylux, Colette was CEO of JeNu, the first home-use anti-aging device using ultrasound technology. Prior to JeNu, Colette launched Calidora Skin Clinics, a leading anti-aging chain of skin clinics in the NW. Colette began her career in finance at PepsiCo and Maveron (a Seattle venture capital firm) before heading to Starbucks. As a marketing executive for Starbucks, she was responsible for creating and patenting the Duetto Card, named by Business Week as 2003’s Best Product of the Year, while running the largest and most successful retail store value card and loyalty program in the world, the Starbucks Card. She earned a BA in economics from the University of Washington and an MBA from the Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University.
