About

Hot Drops is a premium hot sauce brand, specializing in the production of lacto-fermented hot sauces.

Because of lacto-fermentation, Hot Drops are naturally preserved and complex in flavor profile—without additives. Hot Drops are produced with organic produce, have 0 calories/serving, and have no added sugar.

Developed and produced in Sonoma County in Northern California, Hot Drops can be enjoyed by spice lovers and non-spice lovers alike, with a range of flavors and intensity to suit any palate.

Founding Story

Hot Drops started as a pandemic project when founder Andrew Whiting began a quest to perfect the healthy fermentation of his home-grown peppers.

“Hot Drops began as a passion project: It was me making gifts for friends and family. This was during the pandemic and, like everyone else, I was home quite a bit. I became interested in preserving and fermenting, and peppers became the focus of my fascination. Around the same time, my sister, Leigh, and I agreed to make gifts for one another for Christmas. So Hot Drops grew out of spare time, spare peppers, and a desire to create a personal gift for people close to me.”
