About
Helio makes it simple for customers to transition off fossil fuels and fully electrify their homes.
We all want to do our part to reduce our carbon emissions and live in a healthy, comfortable, and more energy efficient home. To get there though, isn’t always so easy. Instead of hiring 5 contractors to complete the work, you can hire Helio. Helio’s software platform takes into consideration your climate, your unique home attributes, your roof space, your energy usage, and your existing appliance performance and calculates the optimal, most economic path for you to electrify your appliances and run your entire home off the sun.
Founding Story
The concentration of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere is the highest it’s been in 3 million years. 800 million people are currently vulnerable to climate change impacts such as droughts, floods, heat waves, extreme weather events and sea-level rise. The UN panel on climate change warns we are on a trajectory of heating the planet by 1.5 degrees by 2030 resulting in irreversible and devastating effects.
All this means is we have 10 years to make a meaningful impact. 10 years to make sure our great grandkids have clean air, water, and enough food to eat. Although the situation is grim, we believe there is hope.
Rather than sitting on the sidelines to see what happens helio asked themselves how WE ALL could do our part. They quickly realized they didn't have to look farther than the home. Nearly 42% of emissions come from decisions we make at the kitchen table. If they could improve the efficiency of our homes and switch to new higher efficient electric technology we could get rid of nearly 9 gigatons of CO2 worldwide. Not only will this be a key piece of our climate puzzle, but economically it will save the world over $2.5 trillion in costs.
