Lafayette, Indiana - Having designed winter accessories for 9 years, this new category is expanding French Knot’s offerings outside of hats, headbands and handwarmers. These one-of-a-kind pieces are created with super fine wool and handmade in Nepal.
French Knot has launched their first-ever scarves as part of their new Fall/Winter 2021-2022 collection release. The scarves come in two styles and four colorways that have matching hats and handwarmers to create sets. They are made with French Knot’s most refined and high-quality super fine wool making them super soft and lasting. The styles have been named the Woodstock Crochet and the Tilly. The addition of scarves now rounds out French Knot’s offerings and adds to their accessory and apparel categories. Variations of these scarves have been designed exclusively for major retailers such as Anthropologie and Sundance Catalog purchasing hundreds to sell in store and online for the 2021-2022 holiday season.
The pieces begin as an original hand-drawn design by French Knot’s founder and lead designer, Lindsay Mason before she turns them into a CAD with technical specs about yarn colors and patterns. Then the accessories are hand-knit by over 1,000 women artisans in the highest quality wool available, making them wildly warm and velvety soft.
French Knot believes in responsible sourcing and handcrafting to create beautiful products that not only endure, but also celebrate talented women artisans and sustainable practices. French Knot follows fair trade principles and pays their artisans a living wage. The wool is spun and dyed by hand, a traditional process that produces little to no emissions emphasizing both lasting quality and social responsibility.
In addition to retailers, French Knot accessories are also available on their website at FRENCHKNOT.COM.
