LAFAYETTE, IN - What started as a winter accessories line designed out of her parents barn in Massachusetts, Designer and Founder Lindsay Mason has just celebrated her 10th year in business in her new location of Lafayette, Indiana. Over the years, the French Knot collection has expanded outside of just winter accessories to home decor, slippers, felt dolls, purses and apparel. Starting with just a few wholesale accounts in 2012, French Knot now sells to retailers such as QVC, Sundance Catalog, Anthropologie, Free People, Terrain, Nordstrom, Uncommon Goods and more. French Knot was nominated for QVC’s Small Business of the Year Award in March amongst hundreds of vendors.
With a new focus on their Ecommerce store, online exclusives will drop throughout the season, including heirloom sweaters knit completely by hand with gorgeous embroidery details and stitches.
The Fall/Winter 2022 collection features new styles and products including a cable knit bucket hat with floral embroidery, a whimsical sheep knit pattern, new glove styles in high-quality merino wool, a candy-colored felt tree set for a holiday table or mantel setting, and a new hand-felted Angel Tree Topper, an update to their best selling holiday item.
Lindsay describes the new collection as “Inspired by 1930’s cable knits, dainty hand-embroidered blooms, and pops nostalgic fair isles. The Fall 2022 collection blends English countryside with vintage glam.”
The pieces begin as an original hand-drawn design by Lindsay before she turns them into a CAD with technical specs about yarn colors and patterns. The items are either hand-knit or hand-felted women artisans in Nepal. The high quality wool makes them warm, velvety soft and enduring to last for generations to come.
