About

Supporting equity amongst farmers with a passion for sustainability and serving others.

Located in Washington D.C. Since 2018 Everyday People Coffee and Tea; a black-owned and women-owned company wanted a coffee & tea company that was not only majorly single origin but also adheres to eco-friendly sustainable practices ensuring the farmers and farm productions are provided equitable wages to sustain a livelihood that depends on the coffee and tea trade.

Their coffee is ethically sourced, sustainably grown, and roasted in small batches in the US, while the loose leaf teas are sustainably grown with a 98% ethical tea partnership blended and packed in the US.

Everyday People Coffee and Tea believes in the power of giving back; supporting organizations that makes the world a better place, which is why a percentage of their sales helps support organizations involving youth education and  nature conservation efforts to protect our planet.

Everyday People Coffee and Tea is deeply committed to sourcing quality beans and loose leaf teas to produce their premium coffees & tea. 95% of their coffees and teas are directly sourced from coffee and tea farmers. They believe that importing their products directly from the farmers allows the farmers who depend on the coffee and tea trade to grow, provide a livelihood dependent upon the trade.

Their coffee and tea is roasted in a registered and approved FDA facility adhering to sustainable practices that has earned several certifications.

Founding Story

This mother and daughter duo group (Jillian and Jackie), fell in love with coffee and tea whole on a trip to a vintage show in New York and wanted a coffee & tea company that was not only majorly single origin but also adheres to eco-friendly sustainable practices ensuring the farmers and farm productions are provided equitable wages to sustain a livelihood that depends on the coffee and tea trade, with an emphasis on giving back to their local community.

Everyday People Coffee & Tea was born in 2018. a minority and women-owned custom roasted specialty coffee and loose leaf tea for a cause. Their coffee and teas are both sustainably grown, and ethically sourced. Their coffee is roasted to order in small batches in the US, while their tea is blended and packed here in the US as well.

A percentage of their sales helps support organizations in childhood education for at-risk youth & nature conservation efforts to protect the environment. Take a look at the organizations they support thus far.

As seen on the Cross Country Coffee Roadshow podcast. Their products can be found at Amazon, Honey & Roses Coffee Company, Spinn, Coffee Marketplace, Thyme & Bloom, Bubble Goods and more.

Did you know, Everyday People Coffee & Tea is produced right here in the US? Including all packaging products from custom shipping boxes to coffee and tea labels are made here in the US using sustainable materials.

Everyday People Coffee & Tea coffee line is available in 8 robust origins and flavors : Bali Blue, Papua New Guinea, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Ethiopia Natural, Whiskey Barrel Aged, Max Caf and 6 Bean Espresso.

Our personal favorite is the Bali Blue; a dark roast coffee with bold flavors of chocolate, molasses, and brown sugar.

The brand continues with the release of their sustainable loose leaf teas launched in May 2021 and continues to innovate with the release of the following flavors: Pomegranate Hibiscus, Rooibos Masala Chai, and Ginger Mango.

Since beginning of COVID Everyday People Coffee & Tea has focused on growing their online business, getting into retailers, and continues to communicate with their community when they can’t be with them in person

Testimonials

I am rather picky when it comes to coffee but the flavour of Bali Blue positivity floored me. I adore the hints of dark chocolate and brown sugar. Reminds me of cold winters huddled by the fire at my grandmother's house

1st cup of coffee from you guys is just the ticket for a refreshing kick in the rear; a wonderful smell and taste for a great cup of coffee.

Cary

This is one of the first coffees that I tried from this company, and I could not be happier. I truly tasted the notes of molasses and brown sugar, but it was not overpowering. I made both cappuccinos and lattes and they were delicious! I am excited to try more blends from Everyday People.
