Founding Story

Lena spent over a decade in school systems fighting for education equity to ensure that the most vulnerable students had the resources to go to college. But behind closed doors on YouTube and years of studying Chemistry in college, she soaked in the newest beauty cosmetic trends to the latest innovative skincare formulas. Years ago, she became more conscious of her everyday habits and looked for ways to reduce the waste in her beauty routine. As a first step, she wanted to replace her single-use makeup wipes and cotton balls. Lena searched for brands that produced ethically and responsibly. And could not find one. She saw the hole in the market for better fabrics that could compete with the efficacy of conventional reusable products but without the lack of transparency. As the daughter of an immigrant seamstress, Lena learned the ins and outs of the textile industry and set out to prove that you can have reusable products that do not sacrifice performance, the environment, and the people working on factory floors.
