The name 8apart comes from the 8-year difference between founder, Frankie, and her younger sister. 8apart began when Frankie watched her younger sister struggle to find clothing that was on-trend, well made and stood for something important. Unlike one-size-fits all alternatives, 8apart fosters self-confidence and expression through trendy yet inclusive clothing for young women with changing bodies, moods, and priorities. 8apart is a female founded, female run, beacon of empowerment, created to help uplift young women and celebrate life.
8apart began when founder, Frankie, watched her younger sister struggle to find clothing that was on-trend, well made and stood for something important. While working in the fashion industry, 8apart was launched as a side-hustle and labor of love. After a year and a half, it is her full-time gig with newness dropping regularly. Made locally in NYC, every 8apart piece is intended to be flexible in fit - meaning that every girl and woman feels as confident and comfortable as can be.
Founder, Frankie, is originally from Chicago and grew up immersed in the world of retail, with her mom owning a popular clothing boutique for girls, and tweens. Frankie has been living in New York since moving to the city for college at NYU, where she studied Fashion Marketing.
