National Coffee Day 2022: 26 businesses offering free coffee and other daily deals

Thursday is National Coffee Day, when caffeine lovers across the U.S. celebrate their favorite cup of (discounted and sometimes free) Joe.

Big coffee brands including Dunkin' Donuts, Peet's and Krispy Kreme typically offer free coffee samples or cups of coffee on the popular brew day.

Let's get to it. Here's who's offering special pick-me up perk deals Thursday:

Aroma Joe's

• Free 16-ounce hot or iced coffee for all customers, or a free up to 24-ounce coffee for AJ's rewards members.

Au Bon Pain

• Guests can get a small drip coffee for $1 Sept. 29- Oct. 1. There are no quantity limits and no coupons are needed. 

Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii

• Free 16 oz. brewed 10% Kona blend, hot or iced, at participating locations. Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii ‘Ohana Rewards members also receive 33 bonus Lei (points) for each purchase on Sept. 29, at participating locations.

Caribou Coffee

• $3 medium brews for Caribou Perks members on National Coffee Day. Plus, if you're a new Caribou Perks member, you'll get a free drink after your first visit when you sign up.

• When you buy something for the first time on Cult Coffee's website, you can use the code FIRSTTIME at checkout to get the product for free. You'll just need to pay for shipping.

Dunkin'

• Free medium-sized coffee on Sept. 29. Customers must sign up for the Dunkin’ rewards program to claim it.

Dutch Bros

Customers have a chance to win FREE Dutch when they use the Dutch Bros app and scan their Dutch Pass™ at the window of their shops.

What about Starbucks and McDonalds?

Starbucks will not have a National Coffee Day offer this year. Neither will McDonalds, a spokesperson told USA TODAY on Wednesday.

But if you are looking for deals, download the Starbucks app and join the rewards program. Or download the McDonald’s app and redeem any size Premium Roast Coffee or Iced Coffee for just .99 cents daily. The offer can be redeemed once daily through Dec.31 at participating restaurants nationwide.
