This year Prime Day will be July 12 and 13. The event is known for its tech deals, but new and expecting parents can find some major savings on some must-haves.

"This year Amazon has what they call lead-up deals where you can start shopping discounts early. So, things like TVs and maybe WIFI monitors could be on sale ahead of time," says Haley Jena, Products and Reviews Editor, What to Expect.

Things like food processors and air fryers also come in handy for new parents and are often on sale at this time.

Remember to read reviews and focus on ones that sound genuine and include photos to increase the odds that you are reading a legitimate product review.

"Whether is be a nice stroller that is rarely discounted, but you could snag it at a price that is hundreds of dollars lower or a crib-- we often see huge discounts. Car seats are another great things to keep an eye on," says Jena.

Whether it is Prime Day or not, you can save money through the subscribe and save service. Essentials like diapers, wipes, and even snacks can be ordered on a schedule at a discount. The service can be used any time of year for many regularly used home products.
