Refresh Your Summer Wardrobe With These Fashion Brands

Following

New brands pop up every week on social media, in our inboxes, or even still, in shopping districts. It’s hard to see what sticks, or what can truly fit into our closets without being a one-time thing. This summer, expect to see collaborations with brands like Wildfang, while young brands like Rumored are maturing, and growing their collections. Here are some new (or overlooked) fashion and beauty brands to freshen up your closet this spring.

Munthe recently released their high summer collection, which is full on “flora and fauna,” according to the brand’s creative director and founder, Naja Munthe. “I wanted to encapsulate its soothing essence and carefree spirit through a collection that resonates with the multifaceted sensations of this period,” she said.

The collection is inspired by the comfort and grace we all deserve in summer. Using lightweight materials like organic cotton, silk and linen, the collection features botanical prints, beige and a soft yellow for pantsuits, shorts, tees and dresses.

In Los Angeles, Roam footwear recently opened their first dreamy retail space, where they’re selling their trademark clogs, heeled mules, slippers and sandals for summer. Their latest collection, made with vegan materials like sugar cane, includes their Asymmetrical Stack sandal and their Foldy puffy sandals. Meanwhile, their trademark, bestselling items include their Cloud Mule, their Fuzzy Platforms, and their Cross Stack Sandals (even Oprah loves them, they’re among her favorite things).

In the beauty space, world-renowned facialist Vee Mistry runs a private facial studio called SkinByVee in Toronto, but often travels to New York and other locations for her clientele. With over 25 years of experience, Mistry is known for her natural approach to facial massages—which is part of her personal touch. Her SkinByVee Gua Sha Cryo Sticks are face tools (a pair of metal sticks) that can be used to help sculpt and lift the face. The sticks are kept in the freezer and can be applied to the skin with a moisturizer to regulate blood flow. This unlikely item is a must have for your freezer, as its idea for skin health.

Who knew that genderless brand Wildfang would ever collaborate with Taco Bell? Their best-selling high waisted coverall, flattering on almost everyone’s shape, is the latest must-have item from the brand. The grey and purple onesie lifts from the Taco Bell logo, while staying true to their own industrial aesthetic. The best part is the adjustable button waist.

The Lower East Side has enduring appeal, for both counterculture enthusiasts and the rest of us, which is why the latest drop from Dinner Service NY, a streetwear brand using sustainable materials for capsule collections made in partnership with artists of all walks. For their latest drop, the Dinner Service NY x Canary Club collection. The collection is created with the Canary Club, a music and supper club inspired by influential cultural movements like surrealism and dadaism. The capsule collection includes three items, a bowling top, a long-sleeved tee, and a cropped tee.

For fun, flirty spring dresses, look to Rumored, a New York brand run by an all-woman team. Their pieces, like their V-neck dresses or their airport sweatshirts, are spring closet staples. Among their bestsellers for spring, be sure to check out their swimwear, silk dresses, yellow midi dresses and chunky oversized knits in pastel hues.
